We proudly announce the 20th Tinnitus Research Initiative (TRI) Conference 2026.The Tinnitus Zentrum Charit\u00e9 \u2013 Universit\u00e4tsmedizin Berlin and the German Foundation Tinnitus & Hearing Charit\u00e9 are jointly organizing this international conference, which will take place in Berlin from 16 \u2013 18 September 2026. Hundreds of world-leading tinnitus experts will gather at Campus Charit\u00e9 Mitte in Berlin to share the latest in research, diagnosis and treatment of tinnitus. The interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge between ENT, neurology, audiology and psychology will help to better understand how tinnitus originates in order to alleviate the symptoms and, in the future find a cure for it. The scientific directors of the conference are Professor Birgit Mazurek and Professor Berthold Langguth.<\/p>\n

Around 80 guests came together to learn about tinnitus, hearing loss, M\u00e9ni\u00e8re\u2019s disease, mental wellbeing and the latest developments in tinnitus research. International collaboration with the Tinnitus Leagues in Austria and Switzerland was also part of the programme.<\/p>\n Speakers included Dr Frank Matthias Rudolph, who gave a talk on tinnitus and hearing loss; Dr Helmut Schaaf, who shared insights into M\u00e9ni\u00e8re\u2019s disease; and psychologist Mykola Fink, who explored the topic of psychological hygiene. Prof Birgit Mazurek also gave a lecture on the current state of tinnitus research. The programme also featured reflections on four decades of the DTL, as well as insights into the work of the Austrian and Swiss Tinnitus Leagues. Another highlight was the introduction of the new board: Bernd Strohschein was re-elected as Chair, Fred Podszus remains Treasurer, and Markus Hahn joins as Deputy Chair.
