The Scientific Advisory Board

The EUTINNET Scientific Advisory Board is made up of leading European specialists in the fields of ENT, psychotherapy and psychosomatics.

The members of the board meet once a year. Their tasks include monitoring the recording of patient data in the web-based database and defining suitable criteria and publication options for the evaluation.

  • Director of the Tinnituszentrum der Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin
  • Chairwoman of the Board of the German Tinnitus and Hearing Foundation Charité since 2011
  • Specialist in ENT medicine
  • Scientific focus: basic research, changes in the auditory system, influence of stress and other comorbidities on tinnitus and other diseases of the inner ear
  • Since 2022: Head of the “Psychosomatics in Otorhinolaryngology” working group of the German Society for Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery
  • 2021: Management of the Tinnitus Guideline S3 “Chronic Tinnitus” published by the
    German Society of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery e. V. together with Prof. Dr. Gerhard Hesse. This guideline shows the current state of diagnostics and the therapeutic concept for patients with chronic tinnitus.
  • Management of the annual International Tinnitus Symposium organised by the Tinnitus Centre together with the Foundation. This serves the interdisciplinary scientific communication.
  • President of the XI World Tinnitus Congress (2014) and the 55th Inner Ear Biology Congress (2018), both held in Berlin.
  • Member of the Advisory Board of the German Tinnitus League
