Member: HOORMIJ FOUNDATION

Hoormij.NVVS is a Dutch patient organisation that represents the interests of people suffering from various hearing impairments such as hearing loss, Meniere’s disease, cerebellopontine angle, CI, hyperacusis and tinnitus. Advocacy takes place at various levels, including with the Ministry of Health, Social Affairs and Sport, health insurers, hearing care professionals and audiologists, with the aim of improving tinnitus care, treatment and awareness in society. When Hoormji promotes research projects or develops guidelines, protocols and clinical pilot projects, it always focusses on the patient perspective. To improve communication between tinnitus patients and the world of professionals, Hoormij is committed to networking professionals and organisations at home and abroad.

Hoormij.NVVS has a separate steering committee for each hearing impairment, which carries out and implements specific tasks and activities to support those affected. The Tinnitus & Hyperacusis Committee of Hoormij.NVVS therefore sees itself as a suitable partner of EUTINNET.

Vision: The natural participation of people with hearing and speech development disorders and their partners in our society, now and in the future.
